Website Update + etc.

In 2024 I started this website, and in 2025 I did exactly nothing with it.

The purpose for it was to have fun coding with HTML/CSS and to sort of keep a blog and get better at writing and documenting my thoughts. I guess I got annoyed that I wasn't very good at writing so I stopped? Maybe it wasn't even that, I think I found that my writing didn't sound like me.

I think I want to use this for loose thoughts and Bluesky-like posts. I don't like using whatever social media is now because I think it's bad and it make me anxious, so I'm going to try social media.

I'm listening to the Hollow Knight: Silksong OST as I'm writing this, I love it so much. Christopher Larkin is a genius. I'm sure the enjoyment is x10 because I love the game so much. I recommend Bilewater, Bellhart, and Choral Chambers for something chill. Awakening for Duel of Fates level intensity. Cogwork Dancers for how good it is and how brilliantly it progresses with each phase of the fight, I think it's my favourite currently.

A goal I have this year is to consume media more thoughtfully. Ideally I'd like to move away from music streaming services alltogether and purchase music physically or on Bandcamp, I don't know if I'll be able to do it but I think it would be nice to try. I read or heard a quote from someone (I can't remember who unfortunately) saying something to the effect of: "People don't want to pay more to support artists, they want it to be made ethical to pay ~$15 a month for all of the music in the world". I don't know if it's true, but it provoked enough thought to get me here. If I end up going down this path I guess I'll try to post updates.

This really was a collection of loose thoughts.

Anyways here's to more personal website-ing in 2026. I updated the look, inspired by the look and colours of the Super Famicom, (called the Super Nintendo in North America). I had a lot of fun with it when I did it last year, now I don't remember how any of this works.
