Back Burner
It’s been a while!
I started off the year really excited about learning programming & game design , but as things have gotten busier and circumstances have changed, I’ve unfortunately had to put it on the back burner.
The right time came up to move on from my previous video editor position to doing freelance graphic design (branding, web design, illustration, motion graphics, etc.), so I’ve been really excited to be sorting out what all of that looks like. I’ll be putting work up here at some point, but for the moment you can see some of my work on Instagram.
I mentioned in a previous post that one of my main reasons for wanting to learn game design & dev, in addition to my interest in games, was to find a way to get the purest form of my being out into the world. It sounds ambiguous and I don’t know how else to word it, but that idea has brought me to apply that thinking to the other creative areas of my life, giving me so much motivation and freedom to just make things and try stuff out that I'm excited about.
The whole reason for building this website and blog was to document that game design journey, and while that’s (temporarily) ended, I’m excited to keep writing about other areas of my life, which will hopefully include learning to make games again in the future.
Thanks for following along!
